The finalists for the Christy Awards were announced today, and The Charlatan’s Boy is one of the three finalists in the Young Adult category. The Christys recognize “novels written from a Christian worldview.”
This good news helps mitigate the sadness that results from the fact that nobody is participating in Audience Participation Friday today.

It’s Friday, Jonathan. And the internet is closed for the weekend. Sorry for the lack of comments. Congratulations on the nominee! I certainly agree this novel deserves it and am looking forward to the rest of Grady’s story.

Woohoo! I’m so happy.

Many congratulations on the Christy Award finals! It’s so great to see increasingly good samples of Christian fantasy out there (and being recognized).
…Sorry for the low response rate! I’ve got a boatload to add to the Mother’s Day homage (though I’ll be good and keep it limited), but I seem to still be a climbing wall for one or two of my own brood today, so it will be a few hours before I can post.

Oh blah, just realized I heralded my ignorance there. For some reason I had it in my head that the Christy Awards only covered Christian fantasy; I had forgotten there were a whole bunch of categories. I think I’d better get off now and get back to being a climbing wall!

I’m so glad CB is getting some love. The attention is well deserved.

Hey Jonathan, I left a comment in the APF thread, but it’s not showing up in the sidebar. Any idea as to why?

Congratulations on another Christy nomination. I hope your book wins this time! I’ll be rooting for you and Gina Holmes (in the First Novel category).

Congratulations! I just finished reading this with my children. We all loved it–as well as the Wilderking Trilogy. Very happy for this well-deserved recognition.
