Editing Exercise
Go find something you have written before (perhaps one of the exercises you wrote for this class). Identify unnecessary words, and rewrite without them. But remember, writing isn’t just about conveying information. It is also about rendering experience. You aren’t necessarily trying to use the fewest possible words to convey information. Sometimes repetition or “extra” words help shape the reader’s experience in meaningful ways.
